Gabriella Miyares’s playwriting career began with her high school’s annual Night of Student One-Acts. Her play Midnight at World’s End was the winner of the Florida Teen Playwright Festival and an International Thespian Playworks winner in 2005, and has had over 25 productions in the U.S. and Canada; it was also adapted into a short film for Duke University’s Movie-Making Marathon. Her play Searching for Candi (co-authored with Kimberly Lew) had a staged reading at the Wild Project in NYC in October of 2010. When she isn’t printmaking, reading, or going to concerts, she is working on various writing projects with subjects ranging from food to Jane Austen.

Kimberly Lew is a Hawaii native and graduate of NYU. She is a published playwright with one-acts titled Last Night in London and Retail Rage or How I Spent My Summer Vacation available for licensing with Playscripts, Inc. She also co-wrote (with Gabriella Miyares) a four woman comedy/drama titled Searching for Candi which received its first production at Mt. Holyoke in April 2011. Her blog, Emerging Musical Theatre, follows up-and-coming writers in the musical theatre community. She is also a proud writer of short stories, essays, and the monthly check when her rent is due.
